Behind the Scenes


Started out looking at a confusing mess. Recognized parts of it from the community game jam, only someone tried to do something and it went horribly wrong. Looks like some major revision happened at some point, we have two very different scenes with  entirely different objectives/gameplay strategies... One is 3D, one is 2D... Neither runs. I opened the 3D scene and abandoned all thought of what might've been fun/cool about the other.

  • Added cinemachine for easier and more dynamic 3d camera controls
  • Added a farmer unit that you have to protect, who will move around your base. He will repair buildings or trigger their production if they aren't damaged. If he dies, you lose.
  • Implemented build mode so players can spend there coins to construct more buildings
  • And an upgrade mode so they can actually upgrade the buildings
  • Added a new unit types and a new buildings to be produce them.
  • In addition to pigs, we now have chickens, sheep, and cows.
  •  Transitioned fully into 3d, revising all the visuals. implemented some 3rd party art assets to quickly establish the theme/visuals/animations - Changed the demons to wolves, and tentacles to snakes...
  • Added sound effects for auditory feedback
  • Tinkered with the combat and stats and building costs a bit
  • Added title screen, pause menu, game over menu.
